The world is teeming with captivating stories, waiting to be told. For the past year and a half, I've had the incredible opportunity to dive headfirst into the captivating world of documentary filmmaking, and let me tell you, it's been an eye-opening adventure.
Our documentary series, Underground: UnCovered, chronicles the lives of various stigmatized communities in the Kansas City area. From the initial brainstorming sessions to the final edit, it's been a whirlwind of learning, challenges, and ultimately, immense satisfaction.
Stepping onto the set with camera in hand was an exhilarating experience. We conducted interviews, filmed B-roll footage, and captured the essence of the story unfolding around us. It wasn't always smooth sailing - there were unexpected hiccups, technical difficulties, and moments of pure serendipity. But through it all, the dedication and resilience of the cast and crew kept the momentum going.
While principal photography for our documentary series is nearing completion, the journey doesn't end here. The next step is finding the right platform to share our creation with the world and sparking meaningful conversations about the topics we explored.
